How have your fundraising contributions made a difference this school year?

The PTO used a portion of its fundraising monies to provide necessary supplies and to fund innovative projects and programs that enhance our children’s learning experience:

* School-wide field trip to see “Charlotte’s Web” at Clowes Memorial Hall

* Popcorn machine for use at various Eagle Elementary Functions (Eagle Elementary Student Council)

* 2nd Grade classroom subscription to Scholastic News (Spencer)

* Cubbies and Bins for classroom storage in Kindergarten (Weaver)

* Interactive Reading Books Library for functional/life skills students (Junkins)

* Magnetic Ramp Wall to be installed in area accessible to all Eagle students (Money)

* Thirty Youth Basketballs and air compressor for Wellness 360 Program (McIntire)

* Gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers for purchase of 2nd grade teaching materials (Spencer)

* Thirty Aussie Pouch Chair Pockets (Shubat)

* Thirty-nine backpacks to be used by all Eagle students for outdoor learning and exploration (Hons); these backpacks will be equipped with accessories such as a compass, binoculars, and walkie talkies thanks to money raised through Mrs. Hons’ 2nd grade PBL

* Fifty Tote bags with Eagles logo that will be used to provide “Welcome” materials to families new to Eagle Elementary (Hons)

* Learning materials that will be used with Pre-K and Kindergarten students to help develop cultural awareness, better understanding of self, and multilingual skills as part of the “Strong in Every Way” initiative (Money, Hlade, Weaver, Wietholter, and Johnson)

* 1st Grade field trip to the Eagle Creek Ornithology Center and the purchase of bird feeders and food to supplement their study of birds and bird adaptations (Wright, Marshall, Werner, Miller)

* Additional books for the Eagle Library that emphasize friendship making skills, coping with emotions, and understanding different cultures as part of the “Strong in Every Way” initiative (Ottinger)

* Funding to help support the purchase of three 8-foot picnic tables, which is the focus of Ms. Knox’s 3rd grade PBL. The caps and lids being collected by Ms. Knox’s students as part of the ABC Promise Partnership will be combined with the money from this grant to purchase the picnic tables (Knox)
